We are thrilled to announce that Covalent has earned SOC 2 Type 2 certification, further solidifying our commitment to the highest standards of security, availability, and confidentiality.
At Covalent, we’ve always believed that trust is the foundation of any partnership—whether we’re working with global manufacturers to enhance workforce operations or driving technical training solutions for complex industries. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Covalent has earned SOC 2 Type 2 certification, further solidifying our commitment to the highest standards of security, availability, and confidentiality.
SOC 2 (Service Organization Control 2) is an auditing procedure developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that ensures service providers are securely managing data to protect the privacy of their clients. Unlike a Type 1 certification, which evaluates the design of internal controls at a specific point in time, SOC 2 Type 2 examines the operational effectiveness of those controls over an extended period—typically 6-12 months.
Achieving this certification demonstrates Covalent’s consistent and diligent effort to ensure that our data practices are not only well-designed but also properly executed across our entire system over time.
For the major aerospace, automotive, defense, and chemical manufacturers that depend on Covalent to manage their workforce operations, the security and privacy of their data are non-negotiable. Our SOC 2 Type 2 certification is a testament to our unwavering commitment to safeguarding sensitive data—whether it’s proprietary training materials, performance outcomes, or personal employee information.
This certification gives our customers the assurance that:
As workforce operations become more digitalized, and manufacturers rely more heavily on data-driven tools, cybersecurity threats are evolving. Covalent’s SOC 2 Type 2 certification reflects our proactive approach to evolving these challenges and staying ahead of potential risks.
This certification is not just a milestone for Covalent—it’s a commitment to our customers that we are always ready to meet the highest standards of security and compliance, now and in the future. As we continue to expand our product suite, including our OJT and IWA solutions, our dedication to protecting your data remains at the forefront.
We understand that trust is built over time and that safeguarding sensitive information is an ongoing responsibility. SOC 2 Type 2 certification is just one step in our broader commitment to maintaining and improving our security and compliance measures.
We look forward to continuing our partnerships with leading manufacturers around the world, offering workforce management solutions that empower frontline teams while ensuring their data is always secure.
Building a well-structured and comprehensive training program is a challenging yet critical component of achieving operational success on the shop floor. No role is more central to the construction and execution of these programs than a manufacturing training manager. We've recently sat down with Mandy Björkland Galaxia, current Customer Success Manager at Covalent, who has extensive experience as a manufacturing training coordinator . We discussed how vital the training process is and the steps organizations can take to improve it.
Turmoil in the market and rising inflation have the potential to impact manufacturing unit economics across the board. It’s at times like these where understanding business operations and the efficient use of assets can make a big difference. As it relates to managing a manufacturing workforce, plant leaders can get leverage out of better quantifying and then maximizing skill coverage. In this blog post, we discuss coverage optimization as a source of cost-savings : improved overtime management and decreased costs of poor quality (COPQ).
